The movement
eCycleZone is a movement that is based on the principal of giving: “eCycle” means, people recycling using electronic (Internet) medium, “Zone” is where they can connect with each other and help others.

By “giving”, we mean that the stuff that you no longer need/want and you want to get rid of – why not give it to some one who needs/wants it. That way, you will help a person in need; as well as save this plant by reducing the growing landfills.

The main concept behind this movement: Help Others and Save Our Planet. We have put in our bit by the combining the two together and creating this movement called eCycleZone.

Let’s Make this World … Better!

The Medium of Connecting eCyclers
eCycleZone is one common platform, that brings people together in doing the right thing. By offering this platform on the Internet, it provides easy-to-use and easily accessible features, where common people can become members and post the “ads” of the items they want to giveaway to others. All in good faith!

Using the powerful search mechanism, one can search for “ad postings” and contact the people that are giving away those items. So, if you want something, try searching it on eCycleZone, you might get the things you need (new, unused, used), before going out and shed few dollars. For example, the other day, a college student was about to go to a thrift store to buy a used printer ... Guess what? He found the same thing (actually a printer in a better condition) for FREE on eCycleZone. And in return he had a friend in his community and also helped reduce the landfills.

And all this is based on communities. So that “eCyclers” in and around the same communities can contact each other.

The easy modes of communication are offered at eCycleZone: either by sending a message to other eCyclers, or if an eCycler happens to be online, one can also chat with them in real-time. No downloads at all. While browsing through ads, if an eCycler happens to be online, just have a quick word or two… right there from the website. No need to go to a chat room, or download any software.

Plus, eCyclers can also become members of eCycleZones (the Zones), easy-to-use forums (again based on zip codes), where eCyclers can communicate with like-minded people in their area.

Apart from “searching” and “posting” items, eCyclers can also create their “Wish-list”. As soon as something matching that becomes available in their area, they are notified immediately. If they give their email address of cell phone, or pager, or PDA, they get instant notifications. That way, they can get what they want … all for FREE!

The Driving Force of eCycleZone
The movement is entirely funded by its co-founders and the sponsors. We are not making any money out of this. This movement is based on the ideals of giving, caring and donating.

One might ask us, “What do we get by doing all this”? Well, Nothing … nothing in material sense… all we get is to start a movement that will create better citizens, caring and conscious communities, connect people who believe in giving and caring for this world and save our landfills from growing.
